    Randy Fenoli is an American television presenter and fashion designer who is mainly known for his work on wedding dresses and his own TV show Randy to the Rescue and Say Yes to the Dress. He was the fashion director for the wedding dress store Kleinfeld Bridal from 2007 to 2012.

    Biography

    Born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Fenoli grew up with a love of fashion and began sewing dresses when he was only nine years old, eventually expanding his efforts into the areas of make-up artistry, hair styling and entertainment. After winning the Miss Gay America competition in 1990, performing as Brandi Alexander, he used the prize money to enroll at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. He was offered a job working for Vivian Dessy Diamond, of the Vivian Diamond company. Subsequently, his design experience paid off when he was offered a job at Kleinfeld. He is now an independent consultant.

    He has been a fashion designer since 1992. In 2007, Fenoli made his television debut on the U.S. cable channel TLC with Say Yes To The Dress, where his wit and fashion sensibilities charmed viewers. Since 2011 he has hosted Say Yes to the Dress: Randy Knows Best, broadcast in Spain and Italy, and Randy to the Rescue.

    In 2022, it was announced that Fenoli became godfather of the Discovery Princess cruise ship.

    Born on a cattle farm in Southern Illinois, Randy is the youngest of seven children. Driven by his fascination for fashion design, Randy taught himself how to sew at the early age of nine. Randy’s passion for fashion and design led him to the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology.

    While at FIT, Randy won several awards for design and achievement. Immediately after graduating in 1993, Randy launched his first two bridal industry collections: Randy Fenoli for the Diamond Collection and Randy Fenoli for Dressy Occasions. Randy is the recipient of two DEBI awards (Design Excellence in the Bridal Industry) in 1999 and 2000, the most prestigious award for bridal designers. From 2007-2012, Randy worked as the Fashion Director at New York’s Klienfeld Bridal Salon, where nearly 15,000 brides are consulted each year. In 2015, Randy also received the President’s Award for Creative Excellence from FIT.

    Today as the star of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Big Bliss, Randy to the Rescue, and Say Yes to the Dress Benelux, Randy is seen by millions of viewers each week in approximately 150 countries.     His childhood wasn't exactly easy

    Fenoli may be living the dream now as a famous celeb with a bustling career, but his life wasn't always chiffon and ruffles. Rather, his origins are relatively humble, and his childhood had its fair share of difficulties. "I was born and raised on a farm, my father was pretty abusive, and I prayed my whole life to get away from him and get off that farm," he recalled in an interview with IrieDiva. He added that his background gives him perspective, so he's not one to complain.

    Fenoli also lets the pains of his past inform how he interacts with his fans in public. "That's why one thing I won't do, if somebody asks for a photo, I never say no unless I'm running to catch a flight or in the middle of something," he continued.
