David cannon biography

Welcome and thanks for checking out my work. I am a full-time commercial photographer based near Athens, Georgia, and shoot photos for clients in Atlanta and Athens and all over the planet. I regularly travel to work for leading brands and agencies all over the U.S. and North America, and even find myself in South America, Europe, and Africa multiple times each year. Who would’ve thought that dedicating some time to learning a camera and art would lead to so many adventures?

There are three different genres of commercial photography in which I feel at home: ad campaign shoots, architectural, and sporting lifestyle. This might seem like an odd mix of work, but I’ve found over the years that shifting gears between these genres keeps things interesting and fresh for me, which is crucial for anyone engaging in creative work full-time.

The common thread that ties my work together is simple, though: showing off the expertise and passion of my clients to their prospective customers and audiences. I do this for leading agencies, brands, designers, builders, architects, and publications.

My commercial client list includes respected groups like Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Duck Head, STAINMASTER Flooring, Lloyd Flanders, Georgia Aquarium, Coke One North America, The Ritz-Carlton, Jeffrey Beers International, Scientific Anglers, Big Green Egg, Nichiha, Grahl Construction, Keystone Millworks, Piedmont Healthcare, Vexus Boats, Reynolds Lake Oconee, C. My work has appeared in a long list of quality publications, as well, such as Southern Living, Gray's Sporting Journal, Country Living, Atlanta Magazine, Fly Fisherman, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Sporting Classics, HOME, The Flyfish Journal, Strung Magazine, and more.

David Cannon is an official photographer for the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and his Getty Images photography team works directly with the PGA of America, the European and Australian PGA tours, and the LPGA. His work has frequently appeared in such publications as Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, Time, Newsweek, and all leading golf magazines. He has photographed several of the legendary golfers in the world, including Ernie Els, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Nick Faldo, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Arnold Palmer and many others. He lives in Sussex, England.

American politician

David M. Cannon is an American attorney, businessman, and politician serving as a member of the Idaho House of Representatives from the 30th district. He assumed office on December 1, 2020.

Early life and education

Cannon was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. After graduating from Blackfoot High School, Cannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Career

After graduating from law school, Cannon has worked as an attorney and operated a reclaimed wood business. Cannon was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives in November 2020 and assumed office on December 1, 2020.

Personal life

Cannon and his wife, Lisa, have four children and two grandchildren.
