While 2023 saw many of the industry's usual suspects churning out more and more franchise entries, be it Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3' or Universal Studios 'Fast X'(the eleventh, yes, eleventh Fast and Furiousfilm), diminishing box office return seems to be on trend when it comes to big-budget-franchise-films. Contrary to this, despite being released surrounded by behemoth projects with established and recognizable characters, the movies that dominated most online film discussion over 2023 were arguably Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie', Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer'and Sir Ridley Scott's'Napoleon'.

So, what do these films have in common? Of course, none are from a series, meaning audiences could jump right in without the commitment required by lengthy film sagas. Also, two of the three films are biopics, showing that mainstream audiences still crave human stories that are grounded in reality, a revelation that, when paired with the overwhelming success of Oppenheimeralone, could lead to more and more high-budget biographical films showing up in cinemas almost immediately.     Christopher Tucker (born August 31, 1971) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. Tucker made his debut in 1992 as a stand-up performer on the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam, where he frequently appeared on the show during the 1990s. He made his feature film debut in House Party 3 in 1994 and gained greater recognition in Friday the following year. In 1997, he co-starred in the films The Fifth Element and Money Talks, and appeared in a supporting role in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown. Tucker later achieved international fame in the 2000s for playing Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film series.

    Christopher Tucker was born in Atlanta on August 31, 1971, the youngest son of Mary Louise (née Bryant) and Norris Tucker. One of six children, Tucker learned early in life that humor had the power to draw attention to himself both at school and at home. His father was an independent businessman who owned a janitorial service. Tucker grew up in a PentecostalChristian household; his parents were members of the Church of God in Christ during his childhood.
