The series will feature the defining moments in Ali’s life and career — both in and out of the ring — that have been well documented as well as moments that took place outside the spotlight. The world remembers an icon, but The Greatestis about a man, a husband, a father, a brother, and a son.
Best will play the boxing legend. Josephwill play his rival, heavyweight champion Sonny Liston. Nicknamed “The Bear,” Liston had been considered unbeatable until he lost the title in 1964 to loud-mouthed underdog Muhammad Ali (then known as Cassius Clay).

Tilo Schmitz (Berlin)
Tilo Schmitz studierte an der Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. Danach war er bis 1989 am Staatstheater Cottbus beschäftigt. Er arbeitet und lebt als freiberuflicher Synchronsprecher in der deutschen Hauptstadt Berlin. Neben der Synchronisation von Filmen in über 2.000 Rollen, spricht er auch sehr viele Hörspiele mit seiner unverkennbaren kräftigen Bassstimme ein. Z.B.: Das Amulett, Die Waterkant-Affäre, Trolljäger, sowie Hellboy und Tony Ballard. .
Aufgrund seiner tiefen, sonoren Bassstimme wird er häufig für die Synchronisation auf besonders starke und kräftige Rollen besetzt. Auch wenn es besonders cool sein soll, ist Tilo die erste Wahl.
Er spricht u.a.Ving Rhames, Ron Perlman, Michael Clarke Duncan, Dennis Haysbert, Abraham Benrubi, Keith David, Chi McBride, Ernie Hudson, Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, Jim Cummings, Roger Cross, Christopher Judge, Kevin Michael Richardson, Dan Martin, Malik Yoba, John DiMaggio, Wendell Pierce, Steve Austin, Jouji Nakata, Shashawnee Hall, Clancy Brown. Er war auich die Synchronstimme von Gerard Butler (Leonidas) im Schlachtfeld Epos 300 und sprach Hellboy alias Ron Perlman - in Hellboy.
Außerdem sprach er Ben im Lucasarts Computerspiel Vollgas und übernahm die Rolle des Kratos in den beiden God of War-Videospielen. Im PC Spiel Left 4 Dead 2 leiht er dem Charakter Coach seine Stimme. Er spricht im Computerspiel Dragon Age 1,2 und 3 den Zwergs Varric. In Starcraft 2 wurde er auf Tychus Findlay besetzt. In Crysis 1-3 spricht er als Lawrence „Prophet“ Barnes. Auch im Klassiker Moorhuhn - Tiger and Chicken hörte man ihn als Terrakottakaiser.
Als Werbesprecher ist Tilo Schmitz eine Bank und wurde daher schon für unzählige Produktionen eingesetzt. Kraftvoll setzt er immer eine Marke u.a. für Polo, Motoo, Tirol, Toom Baumarkt, DeutschlandCard, Bux, Wodka Gorbatschow, Pizza Burger.
